Vizsla rescue

Vizsla languishing in a Vizsla rescue shelter.

It’s a sad but true fact that there are more dogs than you can even imagine who are put down everyday, for “humane” reasons. It’s also true that there is more than that number of dogs who are either abandoned on purpose, or abandoned by unkindly fate. This applies to just about every type of dog that you can think about. Sometimes however, something like the many different Vizsla rescue groups can make a great difference on how these dogs fare.

Of course not every Vizsla is as lucky to get taken in, or rescued by a Vizsla rescue group, but sometimes miracles do happen, and even these dogs get a second chance. Most of these groups however are not well off and need the funds to stay in business, so amongst the serious business of having to find and rescue abandoned or homeless Vizslas, these Vizsla rescue groups also have to go searching for funds to stay open.

This really seems like a cruel fate, but this is the way of the world, and most of these groups are used to these little quirks of fate. If you have a Vizsla then you know just how fiercely loyal these dogs can be and how attached they are to their owners. If you think of this and feel a tugging of your heart for all those abandoned

Vizslas

that different Vizsla rescue groups had to rescue over the course of the last few months alone, you can do something about it.
As mentioned above, Vizsla rescue groups will almost always be in need of assistance, be it monetary or otherwise. If you feel that you can help then do so, just take a look at your well adjusted Vizsla and imagine if that was him or her pining away, abandoned in a kennel, alone and in strange surroundings. Wouldn’t you like it if they had the best they could get from these Vizsla rescue shelters?

And what happens if they have to close down, what becomes of the dogs? Obviously this is not your concern and there is really nothing that you can do about it, but if you can help in anyway possible then do so. There’s really nothing sadder than seeing a formerly happy well-adjusted Vizsla languishing in a Vizsla rescue shelter.

And if all you can do is to point someone looking for a Vizsla in the direction of these Vizsla rescue groups and shelters, you will still be doing a lot of good. This way more and more abandoned Vizslas will be able to find good homes.

Different types of Dog Breeds

Different kinds of dogs.

Having a dog as a pet is not always the right thing for many people.
Some people can’t stand the thought of having a dog, while others
don’t like the idea of having to clean up after their dog.

The bond you form with your dog can be as deep and lasting as any
other bond that you form with your family members. In some cases,
it can go even deeper still, and this has been demonstrated time and
again over the years.
“Lassie” the movie, might only be a corny much overdone movie to
many people, but at heart it is true, and embodies the spirit of the
bond between owner and dog.
To that extent it becomes imperative that you decide upon which
type of dog you want in your life before you actually go and adopt
one. This is where this book comes in handy.
You can use the facts I’ve mentioned in this book to help get a start
in deciding which breed of dog will suit you.
You also then have the additional option of being able to investigate further
on your own, and even take a look, at the different types of
dogs that interest you.

Different types of Dogs

When asked whether they want a small sized dog or a large sized
dog, most people will waffle a bit, but some will be able to tell you
straight off whether they want something the size of a Chihuahua or
a Saint Bernard or something in between.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the different breeds of dogs and
therefore unfamiliar with the various different sizes, this can be
confusing. After all, the Chihuahua could be the bigger of the two and
the Saint Bernard only as big as a large hamster.

Have you ever owned a dog before this
This particular point only helps insofar, that if you have had a dog
before this, you will have a better understanding of your needs and
will be able to judge to a certain extent what you’re looking for in a
dog more easily.
This entire thing is of course a moot point if what you want is a dog
like that of your previous dog, or the dog that you already have.
If however, you’re looking at getting a different breed of dog
altogether from the one that have, or had, you will still find this
checklist to be helpful to you.
You might want another dog, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that
you know exactly what type of dog you want, or that you know
which type of dog would suit you best.

A mixed breed dog on the other hand is a dog that has been bred
from two different types of purebred dogs. These are also called
hybrid dogs, and they are different from your normal run of the mill
mixed breed dogs that can be found on any street corner.

If you’re in interested in either a purebred dog, or a mixed breed
dog, you should be able to get the history and any other relevant
information from the breeders themselves.
But if what you want is the characteristics of a dog, I’m afraid that in
the case of the mixed breed dogs that you will have to go hunting
through the different dog varieties to find what some of their better
known traits are, and then wait and see which ones manifest
themselves.

You will need to look at different pictures of the different dog
varieties when they are fully grown to find which dog breeds
continue the cuteness factor into their lives.

Not all dogs are the same
The title of this section, and everything that I have said up to this
point tells you what that you need to know about this section. Not
all dogs are the same.
You can take two dogs of the same breed, same age, even better,
from the same litter, and you will get two distinctly different dogs.
In this aspect as well, they are like humans. They have their own
identities and their own quirks and eccentricities. A lifetime is
generally not long enough to get to know your dog well. You will be
learning little bits and pieces about him until the very last.

Puggle

If you’ve never heard of a Puggle before don’t worry, you’re not the only person who is looking rather bewildered and raising their eyebrows in question. What you should know beforehand is that once you learn what Puggles are, you might be raising your eyebrows in disbelief instead.

Puggles are, to put it clearly and concisely, a new breed of dog which has been crossed with a Puggle father and a Beagle mother. The resulting dog, then? Something that is definitely a cross between a pug and a beagle and the cutest thing to come into the public eye since, well, since “cute” came into being!

If that was overly enthusiastic for your taste and you feel that you need a more conservative approach to finding out everything about Puggle, continue reading, the gushing part is over and done with. You’ll know exactly what we were talking about when you come face-to-wrinkled-snozzle, with your first Puggle.

So what make Puggle puppies ideal pets, over and above their cute cross-bred features? Two things mainly, the first being that they make great family pets, they’re relatively easy to maintain, and they are intelligent and loyal. Well, that was four things really, but these are the ones that really count when it comes down to the crunch.

Other things like genetic illnesses and such are also important, but depends more upon the Puggle breeders and the breeding methods than anything else. If you are looking at Puggles to take as a new pet and you’re worried about genetic illnesses and diseases from both the Beagle side and the Pug side, your best bet is to question the breeders about what their breeding program entails and what your risks are with the cross-bred Puggles.

There are of course other things that you will want to look at when choosing Puggles as family pets and these include temperament, intelligence, energy levels, and trainability among other things. There’s also the little factor of where you live and whether it is suitable for Puggles.

For instance, if you live in hot climes you will find that you need to keep your Puggle more in the shade and the cool, than with other dogs. You will also need to be careful when exercising Puggles, especially in hot weather as they can overheat quickly and get heat related illnesses.

It should also be noted that over and above all of these traits you will want to look at Puggles only if you have the time, energy and the inclination to keep your active Puggle, active. Puggles are an active dog breed and you will find that they just love to romp and play.

A Puggle is also a loving kind of dog breed that thrives on much love and attention. So if you feel that you, or rather the Puggles, fits the bill to become your new pet don’t hesitate to go and find that perfect Puggle companion for you.

German Shepard puppies | Dog Breeds

German Shepard,

a dog for you?

There is nothing cuter than a puppy but have you considered the type of puppy that you want gamboling around in your home? With so many dog breeds to be found you should see which of these dogs will be very faithful to you. Well this question is easy to answer. The German Shepard puppy can be trained to be not just a companion but to also for the various tasks that you may have.

While you can look at these German Shepard puppies with an idea to buying them you will need to choose your puppy carefully as hereditary breeding has caused health problems. These health problems are hip and elbow dysplasia, digestive problems, epilepsy, chronic eczema, dwarfism, flea allergies and keratitis. To ensure that you are choosing a German Shepard puppy that is free from all of these problems you should contact a breeder who will be able to provide you with a certified assurance of your puppy’s health.

Since these puppies are very friendly and eager to learn you should take care to train them so that you have a German Shepard puppy who is obedient as well as capable of learning new things. One of the best ways to make sure that your new puppy learns what you want is to train the puppy outside. This way you can take the time to see that your puppy’s health is kept well.

While it is true that almost all puppies love playing and going for walks, the German Shepard puppies is puppies who will thrive with this activity. The walks can be used to train your puppy to have good social behavior when you meet strangers. There is one very important item which needs to be addressed when you are beginning the training of your puppy.

The German Shepard puppy is a very intelligent animal. Without any activity to keep the puppy fully occupied you will have on your hands a destructive puppy. This destructive tendency can be reduced if you begin the correct training and handling of the puppy. You should make sure that you are training your puppy with lots of patience, firm but gentle handling and lots of love.

When you are thinking about the grooming which is entailed with this breed of dog you will find a dog type that is relatively easy to groom. You will need to brush out the coat of the German Shepard puppy on a daily basis. Other than this your puppy will need to have a bath only about twice a year. More than this amount will cause your puppy’s skin to loose its protective skin oil.

Even though there are many different breeds of puppies that you can think about getting, the German Shepard puppy is one who will provide you with loyalty and companionship all through its life.

Teacup Chihuahua

If you’re looking especially for a smaller

“teacup Chihuahua”

There are many dog breeders out there, most especially Chihuahua breeders, who would object to the term of teacup Chihuahua. This is for the very reason that there really is no such thing as a teacup Chihuahua, at least not a separate breed.

There can be even smaller versions of the Chihuahua that might very well fit the various descriptions of tiny, toy, miniature or teacup Chihuahua. Chihuahua’s being small by nature however some people capitalize on this fact, especially when there is an especially small puppy in a litter, to label it as a teacup Chihuahua or a toy Chihuahua or a miniature Chihuahua to sell it for a higher price.

Unsuspecting people who are looking for a Chihuahua puppy as a pet will most likely be taken in by such ill-used words as toy or teacup Chihuahua, and buy the Chihuahua for more than they should. Prospective Chihuahua owners should do their homework and find out all there is to know about Chihuahua’s before they start to look around.

If on the other hand, you know a thing or two about dogs and Chihuahua’s in general, and you’re looking especially for a smaller “teacup Chihuahua” then the label shouldn’t be a problem for you, as long as you know what you’re getting.

A Chihuahua, is a Chihuahua, is a Chihuahua, and whether it has been labeled as a teacup Chihuahua or not, it will still have the same characteristics. How it was bred, whether it is a purebred, and the size of it do come into the equation, but not all the time, and not all at once.

For one thing, if you’re getting your Chihuahua from a reputable Chihuahua breeder, then you will not have to worry about haggling the price down to something manageable just because you were told that you were getting a teacup Chihuahua.

Going through a reputable breeder also means that you have less to worry on the conditions of how the Chihuahua puppy was bred, and what illnesses or genetic diseases it might have. The Chihuahua breeder will have all the information that you need.

You will also find that going through a reputable Chihuahua breeder also has better advantages than just those mentioned. For instance you will also be able to get the advice necessary on how to properly raise your Chihuahua, and if you have a small “teacup Chihuahua” then you can also get help and advice on how to handle this seemingly fragile little dog.

And as long as you know that your teacup Chihuahua is not a different breed of Chihuahua but only a smaller version, you (and your Chihuahua) will get along famously.
